Chapters Twenty-seven and Twenty-eight Summary and Analysis

Damien's love of music becomes important in Chapter Twenty-seven as he writes about his choices for a Halloween soundtrack from his jail cell. Note that many of these entries are the original journal entries that Damien wrote while in jail. These original entries can be identified because they are printed in italics. They also have date headings indicating on which day they were written. In his next entry, Damien describes the different seasons in jail. They have the rat season and the cricket season.
