Summary

Chapter 57 is written from Robin’s perspective. She is at Vanessa’s. Vanessa has told her, for the first time, about how she dealt with her ex-boyfriend who she caught cheating in her. Robin is determined to not let her break up interfere with her work. Strike calls, and she tells him that she is meeting Raphael and Tegan has agreed to talk to them. Strike tells her about his conversation with Billy and says they may have to dig to find the body that Billy is talking about. He does not think the police will believe Billy because the doctors are not sure whether his whole story is true or not. When Strike asks, Robin tells him that everything is okay.

Chapter 58 is written from Robin’s perspective. She goes to interview Raphael. At the beginning of the meeting, she seems distant...
