Chapter 20 Summary

Rayford and Chloe continue to wait for Hattie who is now late for her appointment with them. Hattie introduces Buck to Rayford and Chloe, and Buck is immediately smitten with Chloe. Hattie agrees to listen to Rayford's speech, so Buck and Chloe go for a walk around the airport. He and Chloe hit it off and end up enjoying each other's company. The four of them plan to have dinner together that night so Buck can interview Rayford then. Hattie is polite and listens to Rayford's story about his transformation, but it is clear to him that she is not buying in to it.
