Chapter 16 Summary

Steve and Buck make their way over the Plaza and Steve agrees to impersonate Buck so that it will delay the authorities from getting to Buck before he can get to Carpathia. The ruse works and Buck breezes in. On the way, another reporter, Eric Miller, starts an altercation with Buck to get into the meeting with Carpathia, also. He is ultimately escorted out. Buck eventually gets the chance to interview Nicolae and get to the bottom of the connection with Todd-Cothran and Stonagal. Nicolae, who already knows about Buck's mess, offers to help clear his name.

Meanwhile, Rayford feels some guilt over his argument with Hattie and wishes he had allowed her to work his flight. At least that would give them the opportunity to talk. Remorseful over the loss of his son.....
