Buck arrives at the Frankfurt airport and contacts his father to let him know that he is okay, in case he hears stories that he is dead. He also takes the opportunity to call his boss and leaves him a message. When he arrives at JFK, Steve tells him that none other than Carpathia wants to have a meeting with him for an interview. Thanks to Buck's friendship with Chaim Rosenzweig, he is now viewed rather favorably with the new Romanian president.
