Rayford and Chloe go to the church together to pick up a copy of the videotape the former pastor taped before he disappeared. They meet Bruce Barnes for the first time and he tells them both his story of conversion. Bruce admits that he had been a phony but he has now changed. He tells them that he was sitting up in bed reading at the time of the disappearances. His wife and children were taken. When he asks them if they will be at the services the next day, Rayford says he will probably be there, although Chloe admits she will not be present. This is the first Sunday since the disappearances occurred.
