Marlon Bundo

Marlon Bundo is book's main character and narrator. Marlon is the Bunny of the United States or BOTUS because his Grampa is Vice-President Mike Pence. Marlon describes himself as "very, very fun" (4). Although Marlon lives with his family, he finds his house stuffy and lonely. His life changes after he meets and falls in love with Wesley who takes away his loneliness. Although Marlon does not appear to have the support, presence, or love of his family, he does have a strong support system of animal friends in addition to the love of Wesley. When Marlon and Wesley announce their marriage plans, their animal friends are all happy and supportive. They shout "Hooray! [...] because that's what friends do" (11).
