Chapters 13 and 14 Summary

In Chapter 13, Jerry Ventura questions Stevie about being in his room. Stevie denies being in his room, even though Jerry thinks the kids were in his room looking for a scoop for their stories—once he finds out they are the student reporters representing the Final Four. Stevie checks in with Susan Carol and she sends Stevie off to get a couple of quotes so she can finish her story. She tells Stevie that the dean wants them to meet him the following morning. They make up a story about interviewing student athletes at a Fellowship for Christian Athletes (FCA) meeting the following day, in order to drive with Chip to meet with the dean. Before they part for the night, Susan Carol gives Stevie a kiss on the cheek to thank him for getting her the quotes for her story.
