Chapter 15 Summary
Here, Manuel Puig departs from his standard dialogue only format and instead uses the report of the surveillance officer to give us a detached, third person account of Molina's actions upon being released. Molina contacts old friends and relatives, including Lalo, Aunt Lola and various others. He also calls a friend named Gabriel who works at a restaurant. The report says that when Molina is at home he often looks out his window in the direction of the prison. Molina seems aware that he is being followed, especially when in a car.
Molina finds a job as a window dresser. On his first day of work, which is almost two weeks after he has been out of prison, Molina makes a phone call from a pay phone. This sparks suspicion from the officer following him. The next day he goes to a bank and withdraws some money and then goes...
