Chapter 8 Summary

Molina has a meeting with the Warden. During this conversation, it becomes clear that the prison officials have put Molina in the cell with Valentin to see if he can get any information out of Valentin about his comrades and their actions.

The Warden suggests that to keep Valentin from becoming suspicious about the Warden calling Molina, Molina should tell Valentin that he had a visit from his mother. Molina says his mother usually brings bags of food, so the Warden has him make a list and they buy him the food.
