Summary

Chapter Nine begins back at camp as Kanami feels heartbroken that telling the truth did not heal his heart as he expected. Miisi follows him to the tent where Kanami calls himself an abomination that needs to be removed and wants Paulo to be received by the others. On the drive to town, Kanami says that he came to witness for God, but Miisi believes Kanami brought Paulo because Kanami believed Paulo was the curse. Kanami starts singing to overwhelm Miisi’s conversation, but breaks down once they reach the city. Miisi waits for him, and the two part on seemingly amicable terms as Kanami waves to Miisi as he leaves.
