Act 5, Scene 1 Summary

Edmund, Regan, gentlemen and soldiers enter the British camp near Dover. Edmund asks a gentleman to determine whether the Duke of Albany is steadfast in his purpose to fight, and the gentleman goes out. Regan says that something must have happened to Oswald, and Edmund confirms that he fears the same. Regan then asks Edmund whether he's slept with Goneril. Edmund denies it, but Regan doesn't believe him. Edmund tries to reassure her.
