Thursday, July 2, 1863, The Second Day, Chapter 4, Chamberlain Summary

Chamberlain and Kilrain can hear fighting to their right. Word comes shortly that Vincent wants Chamberlain to form his men. They are to move up Little Round Top and take the left flank. Chamberlain advises Tom to stay out of danger, to keep away from him. Chamberlain does not want his brother hurt, nor does he want to worry about him. Vincent tells Chamberlain that Sickles was supposed to cover the ground where they stand, but he did not like it so he moved his Corps forward, probably the same Corps that faced McLaws.
