Chapter 55 Summary

Dr. Grant is already descended through a hole in the ground to the raptor nest. This chapter opens with Dr. Sattler crawling after him. Gennaro's cowardice keeps him from following the scientists, but Muldoon threatens him with an industrial-strength cattle prod, and the lawyer follows. Once through the hole, Gennaro joins Dr. Grant and Dr. Sattler, and they observe the raptors in their nest. They count the baby.....
