Summary

The weather gets colder and Julie goes to school each day with Ellen and Amaroq. They have various lessons and create a corporation in which they buy ingredients, make and sell donuts. In this way, they learn about corporations which is a mainstay of their lives. One day, they receive a letter from Peter that describes his life at the university and his life in Siberia. When all the other students leave for the day, Ellen teaches Julie more advanced classes and Julie teaches Ellen the Eskimo languages. One day, Ellen and Julie talk about Peter. Julie says she cannot go away with Peter or to school because of her fear that Kapugen will kill the wolves.
