Johnny is the main character of the story and is highly insane. Johnny is a mass murderer, in that he kidnaps individuals in order to torture them in his home, or kills them outright on the street or in businesses. Johnny kills because he despises the way some individuals treat others and wishes to rid the world of these people. Johnny is often made fun of, because he is of smaller statute and chooses not to be materialistic or a conformist. Those who make fun of him, however, are killed, maimed, and tortured. Johnny hears several voices in his head, and has attributed those voices to various creatures within his home, such as a rabbit he nailed to the wall and two statues he stole.
