Part 2 Summary

Part 2 begins with a conversation between Johnny and one of his captives. Johnny asks why humans are so unpleasant, and notes his inability to care for those who mistreat others. The captive notes this is a general statement, and Johnny agrees that since he might be completely insane, his ideas may be flawed. The prisoner asks to be set free, and Johnny refuses, informing him that he should see pain as a blessing, since it shows he is not yet dead. The victim asks why he is being harmed, and Johnny notes he is using him as an effigy for mankind's cruelty. When the victim points out Johnny could just kill himself, Johnny notes he knows self loathing, but that he is invincible anyway.
