Chapter 17 - 24 Summary

Webb comes up with the idea to build a tunnel to get around after-hours, in Hannah's manuscript. The five kids decide to have a skirmish war, and write down all the rules in a purple leather book.

Meanwhile, Taylor and Raffaela spend the rest of their holiday days with Griggs and Santangelo. Jessa, Taylor explains to the reader, has a lot in common with her. Jessa's mom is also gone, but having died of cancer when Jessa was two. Taylor and Jessa talk about their fathers. Taylor never knew her father, and Jessa's father went insane after her mother died. Hannah is also Jessa's guardian and mentor. Jessa believes the Cadet Brigadier might be the kidnapper and murderer of the girls who went missing from Rabine because he drives back and forth to Sydney.
