Chapter 15 Summary

Chapter 15 begins as a continuation of the scene that ended Chapter 4teen. Louise serves the tea she has just made to the Captain and her family and then flees to her room and goes to bed. Louise's mother offers to send her to school in Crisfield. But, Louise sees takes this as an indication that her parents are trying to get rid her and tells her mother that she does not want to go. Caroline leaves for school in Baltimore and Call leaves for the Navy. Louise is left on the Island. Louise takes over Call's job on her father's boat.
