Summary

In Chapter 25, Nilanjana decides she has to go tell Carlos what happened to her at the church. She finds him at the grand re-opening of Big Rico’s, being hosted by Arnie. No work has been done at this point to actually rebuild the restaurant, so people at the re-opening stand around in the pit eating plates of invisible pizza. Nilanjana finds Carlos and starts talking to him when John Peters, the farmer who started the invisible food fad in Night Vale because the government refused to give him water for his crops, comes over and interrupts them. After he leaves, they are interrupted again by Cecil’s sister, Abbey Palmer, her husband, Steve Carlsberg, and their daughter Janice. As Nilanjana listens to the four of them talking, she begins to feel homesick.
