Summary

Chapter 70 is titled “Give Me Your Tired, Your Poor, Your Huddled Masses Yearning to Breathe Free.” Many Iranians flee to America. One day, Pooya calls. He and Pooyan are studying at UCLA. He says they have chosen different names and tell everyone they are from Italy.

Chapter 71 is titled “Day 14.” A teacher, Mrs. Thompson, asks Zomorod if she would do a presentation on the current events in Iran. Zomorod asks if she can wait until after the hostage crisis is resolved.
