Chapters 15-20 Summary

Back at Evie's house the night Manus attempts to kill Shannon. Shannon lights the house on fire, drugs Manus, and then forces Manus into the trunk of his own car. Shannon then calls Evie and allows her to listen to her house burning down. Shannon drives quickly to the Congress Hotel where she knows Brandy Alexander lives with three drag queens, the Rhea Sisters. As Shannon waits for Brandy to gather her things, the Rhea Sisters tell her how they took Brandy in after her own family threw her out and how they have cared for her in a way no one else ever has. The Rhea Sisters show Shannon a picture of Brandy's sister and tells her how Brandy wants to have surgery to make her look just like her sister, though the Rhea Sisters have no clue why Brandy...
