Point of View

The novel is told through first-person narrative and does not vary from this perspective. It is Evie’s voice as an eighteen-year-old high school senior experiencing her first love. Evie’s point of view is influenced heavily by her parents’ recent divorce. Evie struggles to come to terms with catching her father kissing another woman, convincing her that love is doomed.
