Summary

237-241 - In the morning, Raami’s family was still there and still alive. A dilapidated truck arrived in the clearing. There was confusion with the driver about where the families were headed. Eventually, the people in the clearing were loaded onto the truck. They were taken to Kratie Province, a bustling and well-organized area that Raami could not imagine. Teachers and students waved to welcome the truck. People there were unnerved by the thinness of the truck’s passengers. They arrived at a pavilion with a large house surrounded by smaller pavilions. The driver showed another man his instructions, and the other solider told him they were in the wrong place. Just as fast as they were ordered away, though, they were invited to enter the pavilion.
