Epilogue Summary

Alanna and Coram are getting ready to ride south for some time away from Court. Alanna's friends have all come to say goodbye. Raoul tells her that he isn't sure how to think about the knight, Sir Alanna. She tells him she is the same as Alan, just without the secret. George tells her to be careful and that he sends his love with her. Jonathan kisses her fiercely and makes her promise to return. Alanna and Coram ride off to find adventure.

Epilogue Analysis

Alanna needs some time alone to sort out all of the things that have recently happened. She wants to have adventure, but swears that she will write and that she will come home. She doesn't want to stay away from her friends for long. She just needs time to think.
