Ch. 5: By The River Drell Summary

Alanna's troops arrive at camp to find things already set up by the troops who were there before them. She is grateful that she will have less to do and goes to find food. The soldiers at the fort are glad to see that so many reinforcements have shown up and wonder why the prince would be sent to their camp. Alanna is eating with a man named Thor when she is interrupted by Jem Tanner. Jem tries to pick a fight with "Alan" by accusing him of spying on the common soldiers for the prince. Alanna passes her days with the troops.
