Chapter 109 - 111, Conner to Vanessa Summary

In Chapter 109, Conner begins his practice climb. As he climbs, he imagines his parents constantly berating him for not being good enough, for always being less than perfect. When Conner makes it to the top, he steps back off.

In Chapter 110, both Raven and Sean rush to save Conner, but he is already dead. Tony prays that God accepts him into Heaven, despite suicide. Tony and Vanessa console one another. Vanessa tells Tony that it was not his fault, but that Conner opened up to him. Tony thinks he should have made sure Conner took his meds, wondering if that was the cause of suicide.Tony says he will remember it for the rest of his life.

In Chapter 111, Vanessa realizes love is about connection. She and Tony wonder if Conner's parents will miss him...
