Chapter 8, I Met Him on a Monday and My Heart Stood Still Summary and Analysis

Mercy introduces Pamela to "Donnie Wayne Johnson", a young actor, who lives next door to Chuck Wein. One thing leads to another and the two wind up romantically involved. However, The Who comes to town, and Keith Moon calls her. Keith wants her company and she spends time carrying out Keith's strange fantasies. He confesses to having accidentally run over one of his roadies, and lives with constant turmoil over causing his death. While she is with Keith Moon, Gail attempts to cover for her.

Don's temper explodes because he wasn't considered to be asked to a Who party. His anger dissipates into love-making, but he takes off in the middle of the night, and does not call her...
