She calls the hospital and learns he's been released. She goes back to the doctor for a checkup and learns the pins are holding and the infection is gone. Her mother questions the doctor about the infection and Carley discovers her mother has worried that the infection had something to do with the cancer returning. On the way home that day, Carley's mom suggests they talk to plastic surgeons again to see if there's some new option for reconstructive surgery. Carley agrees.
