Summary

Debbi Domingo from Santa Barbara has a fraught relationship with her mother, Cheryl Grace Smith. At fifteen, she goes to therapy with her mother at Klein Bottle Crisis Shelter, an organization for troubled teens. Her mother may have been too permissive with her from a very young age and Debbi often runs away when she does not get her way. Cheri's (Cheryl) and Debbi's father, Roger Dean Domingo, separate and Debbi uses their divorce as a means to turn them against each other. Cheri moves her family to Aunt Barbara's house to house sit while it is in the process of being sold by a Realtor. Cheri and Debbi have a falling out and Debbi leaves the house.
