Summary

In Chapter 16, Ellie and Miah meet at the library in the snow. While they are standing outside talking, a black woman eyes them suspiciously and Ellie holds Miah's hand more tightly (130). She asks Miah if it will always be like this, and Miah says they have to think about other people's judgment like weather. Just like the weather is sometimes bad, some people will always have problems with their relationship. Inside the library, Ellie tells Miah that the day in Central Park made her see that Miah was the person she had always been looking for though he was not what she expected. They agree even if they had known the difficulties they would encounter in their relationship, they would still have wanted to be together.
