Section 7: Chapter 13 & 14 Summary

In Chapter 13, Cammie thinks about Operation Josh for the next two weeks until they finally catch a break on October 1 when they intercept an email that Josh will be returning videos at AJ's Movie Rentals that night. Macey, Bex and Liz help Cammie get dressed, do her hair and makeup and fill her purse with acceptable items, causing Cammie to wonder if every girl on a date is really in deep cover. She has to wear the cross and spread cat hair on her clothes to become her legend, and though Cammie always thought being a spy was challenging, "turns out, being a girl is the tricky part" (page 144). The girls walk her downstairs to the most remote secret passageway and wish her luck as she slips behind the tapestry.
