Act Two: Fire And Ice: Chapter Five: Slippery Slope Summary

Bane snores in the Cessna as Jennifer points out the just forming display of northern lights that will hamper their communications for a while longer. They fly to Prudhoe Bay but before they can land, a flurry of activity alerts them to another issue. Matt tells Jenny to get them out of there just as an explosion rips through the area. In seconds, the town is engulfed in flames, explosions from gas mains burning everywhere. A radio message orders all air space cleared immediately. John suggests to Kaktovik and Jenny that there isn't fuel for the trip, but as luck would have it, they make it. Jenny inspects the plane while Bane remains at her side.
