Interviewer

The Interviewer appears in the introduction and in the transitional linking sections throughout the book. As such, he is more of a function than an actual person, serving as a means for the reader to explore the mind and perspectives of Susan Calvin. As previously mentioned, there is some question as to whether he's a robot or fully human. The text is inconclusive on the subject, but the very existence of the question reinforces a central idea running through all the stories. Everything is not necessarily as it seems.
