Summary

Chris is in a bar writing to Dick, comparing how she feels about Dick to when she and Sylvère first got married. In her most recent letter, she tells Dick that her goal is to be honest. She believes her phone call with Dick the night before went well. She tells Dick about art and how she is “drawn to you ‘cause I see how you can help me take my life apart” (132).
