Chapter 4 and Chapter 5 Summary

Helen loves her life. Today, as she lounges by the pool soaking up the sun, she reflects back to how she came to be where she is. Helen realized at and early age that she had more looks than brains and spent a lot of effort refining her physical appearance. This effort has paid off. As a Golden Girl she can work at her job without breaking her back.

Helen's tanning session is interrupted by a nice-looking young man who says he has recently moved into the apartment complex. After he sits down the introductions are made and Helen makes sure to tell Collingsworth Wilson that she has a boyfriend who attends the university and visits often.
