Overcoming Hardship

Jenna is the perfect role model for living through hardships to get what you really want from life. Since she was a little girl, Jenna just wanted a family to love and support her unconditionally. However, her father was not able to do that for her. In later years, she would understand that it hurt him to see her, because she reminded him so much of her mother, but as a child she just remembers that he was not there for her. She lived through that time by becoming extremely close to her brother. Without him, she may not have been strong enough to get through the hard times that were to come. However, by the time she was fifteen, there were things that she could not even tell Tony. She had been gang-raped by some boys, but if she told her father or Tony, they would have killed the boys.

At sixteen, she left her fathers house. She moved in with Jack and was raped by his Uncle, Preacher. Jack did nothing about it when she told him. Eventually she would find out that Jack knew that Preacher did this all the time, even to his own daughter, Vanessa. Jack taught her never to trust people, especially men. He cheated on her and got her addicted to methamphetamine, then left her for dead to move in with his dealer.

When Jenna got clean, she moved to Los Angeles and started doing movies again. The next man to cause Jenna hardship was Rodney, her first husband. He was a director of adult films, and he felt that she was too good for him. Because of his insecurities, he lowered her self-esteem and tried to ruin her career. From there, she met Jordan. She was attracted to him, because he did not make demands of her, until she started dancing again, and had to make a movie. He, too, was a psycho. He did not care that she spent her money on him, but he did not want her stripping or doing movies anymore. She left him too. She went through several other men and different addictions before Jay finally helped to straighten her out and got her clean for good.

All she ever wanted was someone to love her for who she was, not her money and fame. She wanted someone to love her unconditionally. She found that person in Jay. He has helped her repair her life, family and career. It shows that even through hardships, there is always something out there and eventually you will find what you have been looking for.

Determination

Jenna always was determined. When she would put her mind to something, she accomplished it. She decided to get into pageants. She found her own sponsors, bought and made her own costumes, choreographed her own routines. From local to national, she won titles. When she wanted to work as a showgirl, she was turned down, by almost every hotel in Las Vegas, but she refused to be deterred. She continued looking and applying and eventually was hired by one of the hotels. Although, she only stayed two months, she had accomplished it.

When she went to work at the Crazy Horse Too, she was terrified, but she stepped up to the challenge. She understood the rank system and wanted to get to the top. When Jack's cousin started working there, she taught Jenna how to work the customers and make great money. Jenna became one of the top girls in the club.

Eventually she started modeling for men's magazines. She became the most photographed model shortly thereafter. From there, she went into movies. To get a contract at Wicked, she walked into the owner's office and told him she was going to be famous with or without him. He agreed to sign her. She went on to become famous in movies and on the web. She took Wicked Productions with her. The company's per movie budget went up $100,000 in the time she was at Wicked.

When she finally broke out on her own, with Club Jenna, she was the most downloaded porn star on the web. She started her company with no understanding of internet business. She started making a profit within the first month.

Jenna succeeds in whatever she does, because once she had decided it is what she wants to do, she gives 100% until she accomplishes her dream.

Fear of commitment

For most of her life, when things got to close, Jenna's family would move. She kept this as an adult. The only relationship she did not run away from at first was her relationship with Jack. However, even with that relationship, when she started doing photo shoots, she started pulling away. She pulled away from Rod before they ever married and was never faithful to him. The thought of spending the rest of her life with him and being responsible was not an option. When she met Jordan, she enjoyed being with him. However, as he became more demanding and controlling, she started pulling away from him. When he wanted her to settle down with him, she ran.

She pulled away from everyone in her life, including her family. It took Jay to keep putting himself in her face before she would stay. She left him many times and he refused to call her and beg her to come back, but she always returned on her own. Eventually she realized that if she wanted a relationship to work, she would have to stop running and stick around. It scared her, but her losing Jay scared her more. She stopped running and found happiness.
