Point of View
There are several points of view in this book. Jenna mixes up entries to her diary, stories in her own words, and transcripts from interviews with producers and her family. By doing this, she is being intimate with the reader. She uses her diary entries to let the reader enter her mind and feel her insecurities, happiness, fear and depression. She is allowing us to understand her feelings more than anyone else at the time. There are come things that she writes about in the first person. She could only portray these stories. Only the other person in the relationships could give any insight. She uses these to describe her life, addictions, hardships and success.
