Book 1, Chapter 5 Summary
Jenna is 17 by this time and has quit her job as a showgirl within the first two months. When she initially goes to the Crazy Horse Too, she is turned away because of her braces. She refused to be deterred, and returned the next day without braces. She was hired on the spot, started dancing that night, and made $1000.
Book 1, Chapter 5 Analysis
The reader sees Jenna do everything she can to get the job at the strip club, and although she does not know anything about stripping, she seems to succeed. The descent is continuing even though she does not realize it. However, she is also using her only assets to make a life for herself without her father, and trying to use her brain to make sure, she succeeds.
