Book 1, Chapter 2 Summary
Jenna went on the boat with Jack. She met many of the tattoo artists and their girlfriends and wives during the party. She even began to relax a little until Preacher raped her. When she found Jack after the assault, she told him everything, though he said and did nothing. When she said she wanted to go home, Preacher told Jack the boat was broken and would not be fixed until morning. Jenna slept on the beach with Jack that night. She returned home at 8:00 in the morning, well past her curfew.
She found her father sitting in the living room waiting for her. She told him many excuses, but not what actually happened. All he could say after their quick, hot-tempered fight was, "I should put you in a foster home. I'm not going to have you in my house...
