Halley Cooke (Someone Like You)

Halley is fifteen years old, and works at a local grocery store called Milton's Market where she and her best friend Scarlett are cashiers. Though they have both been working extra shifts to make enough money to go to the beach, her mother insists that Halley attend a two week camp experience called Camp Believe where along with the usual camp experiences, she would also attend seminars for self improvement. Halley argues without success, and is forced to go. A week before the experience ends, Scarlett calls Halley at camp to tell her that Michael has been killed in an accident, and telling Halley that she needs her. Knowing her friend wouldn't ask unless she did, Halley promises to be there soon. She calls her mother who is less than enthusiastic about having to come and get her early. She tries to dissuade Halley...
