Scarlett Thomas calls Halley at Camp Believe and tells her that Michael Sherwood is dead, asking her if she can come home. Halley immediately agrees. As soon as she hangs up, Halley calls her mother and begs her to come and get her. After convincing her, she hands the phone to Ruth, the camp's director.
