Chapter Five: True Lies Summary

The following day Maggie wears a jumpsuit, the kind that mechanics wear to school, and she carries her new lunchbox and backpack. People stare and snicker like she expected. Miles stops her at the front door and tells her to dress sexy like he knows she wants to. She is slightly disgusted by him and walks by.

At school there is a Helping Hands meeting and as she looks around at all of the students in the meeting, she gets a feeling that she doesn't belong. She wants to ditch Penny and Jack and all of the others, and join the popular kids clubs.
