Highmoor

Highmoor is the home of the Thaumas family and the seat of the Dukedom of the Salann Islands, located on the island of Salten. There, Ortun watches over the islands in his care and raises his family. Highmoor is described as a grandiose, sprawling mansion with many floors and many bedrooms. It has beautiful drawing rooms and a solarium where the family spends a lot of their time together. However, Highmoor is also tainted with negative memories. There, Cecilia, Ava, Octavia, and Elizabeth died. Also, Eulalie, Rosalie, and Ligeia all died very close to Highmoor. Thus the house is replete with positive and negative associations for each of the girls but ultimately brings them together as a family.
