Summary

Part 3, called “The Canyon,” began with Chapter 38. Bryce contemplated whether Sabine would have killed Danika. Hunt called Isaiah and told him that they suspected Sabine. Bryce wanted to go for a run and Hunt joined her. Hunt asked her about the injury that caused her to limp. In Chapter 39, Ruhn met a medwitch and asked her about the investigation over lunch. He asked her about healing Luna’s Horn. She warned him to be careful. He asked if the new witch queen Hypaxia could help, but she said that Hypaxia was in mourning. In Chapter 40, Hunt and Bryce flew to Viktoria’s lab. Viktoria found a summoning of the kristallos demon in the city security footage.

In Chapter 41, Hunt realized that their theory about the ley lines might have been wrong because the sewers also ran along a similar pattern beneath the city...
