Dicey Tillerman

Dicey is the oldest of the four Tillerman children. Even though she is only a little older than James as this novel takes place, the others look to her as the person to make the decisions. That means that Dicey is cast into an impossible role as she tries to keep the four of them together after their mother disappears.
