Chapter 17, Healing Streams Summary

Much-Afraid wakes up in a cave with sunlight streaming in through its entrance. It takes her a few moments to realize where she is and what has happened. Upon remembering, Much-Afraid looks down at her heart and is amazed that there is no trace or scar of an injury. When she walks out of the cave, she sees she is still in the deep abyss, but there is no mist, only beautiful flowers, trees, and birds. Much-Afraid notices there is a great rush of water emanating from under the altar and she realizes that this must be the very source of the Falls of Love.
