Book Two, Calm Before the Storm: Chapters 24-31 Summary

In chapter twenty-four, Maggie is being led into the courthouse when a reporter asks if she killed Patrick too. Maggie spits in her face.

In chapter twenty-five, Patrick O'Malley argues with his accountant while walking through his new project, a luxury hotel. Patrick announces he has decided to call the hotel, the Cornelia Hotel, in honor of his wife who has passed away. Patrick and Cornelia had a close relationship, filled with love, and he feels this is a good way to honor her.
