Act 5, Scene 2 Summary
The scene now moves to the French palace where Henry and his advisors have come to work out the last of the agreements on the treaty. Henry gives his advisors leave to make any changes to the treaty, and he stays behind with Katherine while they go to negotiate.
In this scene, he woos Katherine. It is difficult for them to speak because he speaks broken French and she speaks broken English. He tells her that he is good soldier and although he looks poor, he has a wealth of character. He tells her that he is not a poet, and she is hesitant to accept his offer of marriage.
