Act 3, Scene 5 Summary

The King of France is concerned that Henry's troops are progressing rather easily through the French countryside. The Dauphin is dismayed with the women at court who are fascinated by all things English. The ladies have taken to English dances and English men, because they think the French men are acting cowardly and are not displaying any great show of manhood.

The king decides that since Henry's troops are sick and suffering from the effects of a cold winter, they would be no matches for the French nobility. Therefore, he commands all the dukes and other nobility to gather and fight against Henryall except the Dauphin. Although the Dauphin wants to.....
